Forrest Yoga is renowned as an intensely physical and internally focused practice that emphasizes how to carry a transformative experience off the mat and into daily life. The practice challenges students to clear the emotional and mental blocks that dictate and limit their lives. Students cultivate an acute awareness of their own practice, by moving through poses that take into account modern lifestyles and injuries. This is a strong practice suitable for all levels, building strength and flexibility. This class will be in a warm room no music.
"Forrest Yoga is based in the rich practice of yoga from the east, but applied for the western lifestyle." Ana Forrest
The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” like yoga poses for example. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. There will be options available so that students can choose the variation that suits them, making it very accessible to everyone. We will work with breath, alignment, strength and flexibility. This class will be in a warm room with music.

This is a combination of poses and sequencing that draws on both of the above practices.
A restorative yoga sequence typically involves five to 8 poses supported by props that allow students to completely relax and rest. Poses are held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. This class is a quiet class, dimmed lights and music.
iRest Yoga Nidra has been developed over the past twenty-six years by Richard Miller, PhD, a clinical psychologist, author, researcher and yogic scholar, and is uniquely suitable for a Western audience. Extensive research has shown that iRest effectively supports the healing process across a broad range of populations. iRest is integrative, in that it heals the various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in the body and mind. It is restorative in that it aids its practitioners in recognizing their underlying peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.
